Move Your Feet, Lose Your Seat

Most of us have at least heard this phrase, if not said it.

This happens at my house a lot in the living room, but the table is where this phrase originated.

If you move your feet your seat is lost at the table.

The world’s table that is.

You see, we often think that we have ruined the plans God has for our lives because we have made horrible choices that have hurt others. We replay the things we have said in our head to others and even the things we have spoken to ourselves, about ourselves and decide we aren’t worthy.

As much as we don’t want others to judge and are quick to point that out, we are often the harshest judge of all…to ourself.

You see, you are knit together in your momma’s womb ahead of time to do good things according to what God has called you to do. There is always a place at His table.

Even when you run, especially when you move away from Him and what He has for you. As your creator, He has great things for you. That aching you feel is the result of living apart from your inventor and creator. Broken relationships hurt.

Come back to the table and take your seat. He is waiting.
